  Celebrate Star Trek Day! 

The Federation Society (Utopian Federation) is very proud to announce the renewal of the Star Trek Day celebration. This campaign was originally conceived by the webmaster of the now-defunct Captain.net web site, and was later taken over by Ex Astris Scientia, Star Trek Minutiae, and MJ's Star Trek Portal.  After some research, we discovered that the campaign appears to have been wholly abandoned. This saddens us, as September 8th is widely known by Star Trek fans to be the date of the premiere of the original Star Trek series on television in 1966.

So, on January 17, 2009, we came to the decision to relaunch the campaign ourselves.  After redoubling our efforts to find out if the campaign was indeed being hosted elsewhere, we clicked on the link we have in our web site to go to Ex Astris Scientia's Star Trek Day Campaign web page which still had the 2007 banners. We promptly contacted the webmaster, Bernd Schneider, and asked his permission to take up the lead in reviving the campaign. He gave us his blessing to do so.   We, Utopian Federation, will hopefully play a central role in helping to get the campaign going once again.

In order to help (you the Fans) celebrate Star Trek Day we suggest the following;

  1. Make a BBQ and invite some friends

  2. Start a community campaign like beatifying your neighborhood

  3. Read books at an orphanage or children's hospital

  4. Visit the elderly at their home

  5. Bring food to the needy

  6. Send clothing to the needy, Salvation Army, or Red Cross

  7. Start a role playing game

  8. View Star Trek videos with others at home or other location

The list is endless, put your ideas together and go for it.  Send us photos of your activities and we will post them in our site under Star Trek Celebration photos.

We hope all of you Star Trek fans out there on the internet will help us to celebrate the Star Trek phenomenon by joining the campaign.

Step #1: Choose a banner or graphic below to place on your site. Right click (Macintosh users, click and hold) your choice of icon and save (select "Save As...") it to your site. Next, link the image to this page at the following URL, so your web site visitors can come here to submit their site as a sponsor in this campaign.

*E-mail addresses of all sponsors are maintained in a secure database. This means that SPAM robots designed to search for and harvest e-mail addresses from web pages on the internet will be unable to harvest your e-mail address from this campaign.

Failure to implicitly comply with these instructions could cause an indefinite delay in the listing of your site as a sponsor of the campaign.
